Saint-Gobain a global leader in sustainable construction, has expanded its deployment of Akila\u2019s smart building management platform from its R&D center to three additional industrial factories, covering a total of 100,000 square meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on the success of Akila\u2019s recent project at Saint-Gobain\u2019s APAC Research Center which achieved an 18% reduction in overall energy costs through advanced digital energy monitoring and HVAC optimization, this expanded deployment marks a significant step in leveraging digital transformation across Saint-Gobain\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this rollout, Akila implemented smart meters and gateways to enable automated, real-time energy monitoring and data aggregation. Customized dashboards and a 3D digital twin provide Saint-Gobain with unprecedented visibility into energy performance. The granular data insights have helped identify key energy-saving opportunities, resulting in significant reductions through low-cost strategies such as process adjustments and behavior changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024 Akila signed a strategic partnership with Saint-Gobain. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on reducing carbon emissions across Saint-Gobain and its affiliates\u2019 sites in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This partnership aims to achieve a 33% reduction in all carbon emissions (scope 1 & scope 2) by 2030, a goal that underscores both companies\u2019 commitment to sustainability. The collaboration will be executed in two key phases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 1: Deployment of Akila\u2019s digitalized energy management system across Saint-Gobain and\/or its Affiliates\u2019 factories in the APAC region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2: Implementation of Akila\u2019s optimization solutions, tailored to the processes of each site, across Saint-Gobain and\/or its Affiliates\u2019 factories in the APAC region to significantly reduce Saint-Gobain\u2019s carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
