Introduction:
As 2025 comes to a close, we are pleased to share a structured overview of CNEUCN’s key activities and achievements throughout the year, together with our outlook for 2026.
Building on the momentum of previous years, 2025 further consolidated CNEUCN’s role as a platform enabling concrete cooperation between European and Chinese companies in the fields of carbon neutrality, sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and low-carbon industrial development.
Throughout the year, CNEUCN focused on moving from dialogue to implementation, supporting business-to-business cooperation, applied research, and pilot projects aligned with China’s carbon-neutrality goals and European technological, regulatory, and design expertise.

CNEUCN as a Bridge for EU–China Business Cooperation
In 2025, CNEUCN continued to operate as a neutral connector between European and Chinese enterprises, translating policy objectives and sustainability targets into practical cooperation opportunities.
Our activities increasingly focused on:

• Identifying complementarities between European technologies, standards, and know-how and Chinese industrial and market capabilities
• Supporting B2B matchmaking, feasibility assessments, and early-stage project structuring
• Facilitating dialogue among developers, technology providers, designers, investors, and public stakeholders
• Renewable energy advocacy & strategic insights. Throughout the year, CNEUCN contributed to sector dialogue on China’s leadership in renewable deployment and the opportunities for EU–China cooperation in energy-system decarbonisation, reinforcing trust and collaboration among public and private stakeholders.

This positioning allowed CNEUCN to accompany companies not only in understanding sustainability trends, but in structuring real commercial, industrial, and investment collaborations.

A major focus in 2025 was the development of carbon-neutral and low-carbon industrial parks, a strategic priority for China’s industrial transformation and urban regeneration.
CNEUCN promoted integrated, system-level solutions, combining:

• Low-carbon construction materials
• Digital monitoring and data-driven optimisation

Within this framework, CNEUCN facilitated cooperation among European and Chinese partners, including:

• Politecnico di Torino — applied research, building performance modelling, and carbon-neutral design methodologies
