Introduction
Last September 19^th and 20^th, the Sino-Europe Green Building Industrialization Forum, one of the core events of the 2025 China Engineering Day, was successfully convened in Beijing, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and business representatives from China, Europe, and beyond. The Forum once again confirmed its position as one of the most relevant platforms for discussing the future of sustainable urban development and carbon-neutral construction.
This year’s edition unfolded against a backdrop of accelerating global efforts to decarbonize the building and construction sector, which accounts for nearly 40% of global energy-related carbon emissions. With China actively promoting its “dual-carbon” goals and Europe advancing its Clean Industrial Deal and other green transition policies, the Forum provided an invaluable venue for dialogue, collaboration, and showcasing cutting-edge solutions.
CNEUCN, as co-organizer and a catalyst for EU–China cooperation, was glad to play an active role in facilitating exchanges, highlighting innovative solutions, and strengthening cross-border partnerships aimed at addressing both technical challenges and business opportunities in the green building industry.

2025年9月19日至20日，作为“2025中国工程日”核心活动之一的中欧绿色建筑工业化论坛在北京成功召开，吸引了来自中国、欧洲及其他地区的政策制定者、行业领袖、学术专家和企业代表齐聚一堂。论坛再次巩固了其作为探讨可持续城市发展与碳中和建筑未来的重要平台的地位。
本届论坛的召开，正值全球加速推动建筑与施工领域脱碳之际，该领域约占全球能源相关碳排放的40%。中国正积极推进“双碳”目标，欧洲则在推动《清洁工业协定》（Clean Industrial Deal）及其他绿色转型政策。在此背景下，本届论坛为对话、合作及展示前沿解决方案提供了宝贵的平台。
作为论坛的联合主办方以及推动中欧合作的重要力量，仲欧脱碳科技（CNEUCN）积极发挥作用，促进交流，突出创新方案，并推动跨境伙伴关系的深化，携手应对绿色建筑产业面临的技术挑战与商业机遇。

Forum Overview & Context
The 6th edition of the Forum focused on the theme:
“Building a Carbon-Neutral Future: Innovation, Integration, and Impact.”
Participants stressed that sustainable buildings are no longer a niche trend but a strategic imperative for governments, corporations, and investors. The forum agenda revolved around three priority areas:

1. Technological Innovation – deployment of digital twin platforms, building automation, and high-performance materials.
2. Policy & Regulation – alignment with China’s “Good House” policy, the EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), and international carbon-neutrality standards.
3. Market Opportunities – the role of green buildings in revitalizing China’s real estate sector while attracting foreign expertise and investment.

More than 320 delegates attended the Forum onsite and over 3000 participants joined online, representing a wide range of stakeholders: central and local government authorities, leading developers, construction groups, engineering consultancies, technology providers, and financial institutions. The diversity of participants ensured that discussions were practical, forward-looking, and grounded in market realities.
The forum received strong support from multiple parties, including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), and the China Real Estate Association.
Along the forum it was launched the joint initiative: International Green and Low-Carbon Building Technology Cooperation Alliance.

本届论坛320余位代表现场参会，超过3000人线上参与，涵盖了中央和地方政府机构、领先开发商、施工集团、工程咨询公司、技术供应商及金融机构等多元主体。广泛而多样的参与保证了讨论既具前瞻性与务实性，又紧贴市场实际。本届论坛获得了多方支持，包括中华人民共和国住房和城乡建设部、德国工业联合会（BDI）、德国机械设备制造业联合会（VDMA）、德国可持续建筑协会（DGNB）以及中国房地产业协会。
论坛期间还正式发布了联合倡议-国际绿色与低碳建筑技术合作联盟，为未来跨国技术合作与产业协同奠定了重要基础。

Highlights from Keynote Speeches
Serving as a benchmark session for promoting Sino-Europe cooperation in sustainable construction, the forum invited top-tier guests from both China and Europe. These guests included Dr. Patricia Flor, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the People’s Republic of China, Bai Zhengsheng ,First-Rank Inspect Director of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, Sun Ying, Director-General of National Center of Technology Innovation for Green and Low-Carbon Building (NCTI-GB), Board Director of China Construction Technology Consulting Co., Ltd , Brigitte Zypries, Former Minister, Economics and Energy of Germany / Former Minister of Justice, Chai Wenyhong, Vice President of China Association of Building Energy Efficiency, Christoph Mitterer, Group Leader Innovation Markets of Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Li Xinggang, Chief Scientist of China Construction Science and Technology Corporation, China Architecture Design & Research Group, Johannes Kreissig, Chief Executive Officer of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The keynote speeches set the tone for the Forum by addressing both progress achieved and remaining challenges in the journey toward carbon-neutral buildings. Key themes included:

• The importance of lifecycle carbon management, from material sourcing to demolition and recycling.
• The urgent need to retrofit existing buildings to meet green standards, as they represent the bulk of urban stock.
• The pivotal role of international cooperation, particularly between China and Europe, in aligning standards and accelerating technology transfer.

Speakers highlighted successful case studies from both regions, underscoring how policy alignment, financial innovation, and corporate leadership can jointly accelerate the path to net-zero construction.
Centering on the theme of “Moving Forward Hand in Hand – Green Innovation, Digital Integration, Investment Opportunities, and Third-Market Cooperation”, the guests delivered insights and engaged in in-depth professional dialogues and experience exchanges with participants from government departments, real estate developers, building technology enterprises, and scientific research institutions across various regions.
Mr. Bagnasco, CNEUCN CEO, presented CNEUCN recent breakthroughs in aging and elderly care, introducing the innovative “Family Village” concept, a three-in-one model combining an ecological resort, alternative healthcare centre, and active retirement village. He emphasized its multi-dimensional impact:

• Social Benefits: stronger family bonds through intergenerational living; improved mental and physical well-being via access to nature, healthcare, and community activities.
• Economic Benefits: revitalization of the real estate sector, expansion of healthcare industries, fresh investment opportunities—especially with elderly care now fully open to foreign investors—and new fiscal revenues for local governments.
• Household Opportunities: Family Villages serve all generations, integrating healthcare, lifestyle enrichment, and investment security into one sustainable solution.

He highlighted how CNEUCN acts as both catalyst and integrator, coordinating specialized expertise to ensure carbon-neutral outcomes. In particular, collaboration with Tongji University’s iSpace Lab has advanced standards for smart and adaptive living spaces. Design partnerships with Progetto CMR, Oriental Senter, and Medelhan deliver energy-efficient architecture and interiors, while CSCEC Taisei drives low-emission, prefabricated construction methods. Material and equipment innovation from Saint-Gobain, Siemens, ABB, Futura Sun, Novonesis further ensures world-class energy performance.
Bagnasco concluded by noting that the Family Village represents a scalable model for China’s future—addressing demographic change while linking social well-being, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.

仲欧脱碳科技（CNEUCN）首席执行官马晓利（Massimo Bagnasco）在会上介绍了CNEUCN在养老与康养领域的最新突破——“家庭村”创新模式。该模式融合生态度假、替代医疗与活力养老三位一体，具备多维价值：

Expo Booths & Technology Showcases
A successful highlight of this year’s Forum was the Expo Pavilion, which featured booths from leading companies and organizations. These exhibits gave participants the opportunity to explore first-hand the latest technologies, materials, and services shaping the green building industry.
Showcased solutions included:

• High-performance building materials with advanced recyclability features.
• Digital twin and smart building platforms enabling real-time energy monitoring, predictive maintenance, and improved operational efficiency.
• Renewable energy systems integrated into building designs, from rooftop solar PV to geothermal solutions.
• Innovative interior solutions, from sustainable lighting and ventilation systems to eco-friendly furnishings.

By enabling direct interaction between suppliers and potential clients, the Expo strengthened understanding of how innovative solutions can be implemented at scale in the Chinese and global markets. Many participants emphasized that these showcases turned abstract concepts into tangible, actionable opportunities for collaboration.

The Forum also hosted a closed-door high-level roundtable: “Joint Investing and Building the Third-Party Market” which brought together key representatives from think tanks, business association, and industry to discuss how to overcome barriers in policy implementation, market adoption, and financing.
The session concluded with a call for multi-stakeholder partnerships, where local authorities, developers, international firms, and research institutions work together to turn sustainability commitments into measurable progress.

4. Cross-border knowledge exchange between China and Europe, particularly on building standards, certification schemes, and sustainable supply chains.
